Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the relationship of both psychological immunity and social acceptance with the orientation towards life among widows in the southern governorates in Palestine. The actual study sample consisted of (270) widows of widows at Qatar Charity Association - Gaza office. The researcher used the psychological immunity scale (Abu Gaza, 2020), the social acceptance scale (prepared by the researcher), and the life orientation scale (Al-Attal, 2020). The study followed the descriptive analytical approach, and the study concluded that the total degree of psychological immunity got a relative weight (67.48%) at a medium level, while the total degree of social acceptance got a relative weight of (70.38%) at a high level, and the total degree of life-orientation got a weight Relative (69.73%) at a high level, and the study concluded that there is a positive correlation with statistical significance between psychological immunity and social acceptance among widows in the southern governorates in Palestine, and there is a significant positive correlation between social acceptance and orientation towards life among widows in the southern governorates in Palestine. The study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences on the scale of psychological immunity due to the variable (age, economic level, nature of work and place of residence), and there are statistically significant differences due to the variable of educational qualification, and the differences were in favor of the university degree or more. The study also concluded that there are no statistically significant differences on the social acceptance scale due to the variable (age, economic level, nature of work and place of residence), and there are statistically significant differences due to the educational qualification variable, and the differences were in favor of the university and more. The study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences on the life-orientation scale due to the variable of age, educational qualification, economic level, nature of work, and place of residence.
