Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a counseling program for the development of self-management among the sons of martyrs in Rafah governorate . The study sample consisted of (22) sons of martyrs in Rafah governorate who had low scores on the self-management scale. They were divided into two groups, including (11) experimental group, and (11) control group, and the researcher followed the quasiexperimental approach. the following tools were used: The scale of self-management for the sons of martyrs, prepared by: the researcher, and the indicative program prepared by: the researcher . The study reached the following results: There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥α) between the experimental group and the control group on the post-measurement of selfmanagement in favor of the experimental group . There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥α) in the mean of the total scores of the experimental group on the pre and post measurements of the self-management scale in favor of the post measurement . There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05≥α) in the mean of the total scores of the experimental group on the post and follow-up standard of the self-management scale . here is an impact of the program on the counseling in the development of community development, the sons of the martyrs in Rafah governorate .
