Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the impact of psychological capital on job performance among employees of the Ministry of Interior in Gaza Governorate, as well as to identify the level of both psychological capital and job performance, and also aimed to identify the difference in both psychological capital and job performance among employees of the Ministry of Interior according to (gender, age, educational qualification, occupational level, years of service). The researcher relied to conduct the study on the descriptive analytical method, where the study was applied to a sample consisting of (223) employees of the Ministry of Interior in the governorate of Gaza. for data analysis. The study reached several results, the most important of which are:  The level of psychological capital came at a high rate (81.22%), and the level of job performance came to a high degree, at a rate of (83.76%).  There is a statistically significant relationship between psychological capital and its dimensions (self-efficacy, optimism, hope, flexibility) and job performance.  There is a statistically significant effect of psychological capital on job performance, and it can explain (64.3%) of the changes that occur in it.  There were no differences in psychological capital due to gender, age, job level, and years of service, while there were differences in psychological capital due to educational qualification.  There are no differences in job performance due to (gender, age, job level, years of service, educational qualification). The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:  The Ministry's senior leadership adopts the concept of psychological capital in its dimensions, due to its importance in development processes and keeping pace with environmental change.  Attracting human cadres with psychological and administrative expertise who can adopt the concept of psychological capital within the ministry
