Abstract

This study aims at recognizing the role of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in empowering the women’s associations in Gaza Strip by using the descriptive analytical method in studying this phenomenon as a reality . I based my work on two lists of the lists of survey as a sole tool to collect data. The approach of the comprehensive inventory has been used. The study population of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs included thirty employees. The women’s institutions involved include : (Al-Ata’a Charitable Society, Aisha for Women and Child protection Society, The Society of the Palestinian developmental Feminist studies, Nusairat Feminist Programs Centre, Beit Almustaqbal Society. Feminist Programs Center ( Rafah). The study population is 132 employees. An electronic survey was utilized as a tool; besides interviewing the people working in the Ministry and women’s institutions. Also, the statistical analysis program of social studies was used; (SPSS)) The study came to the following findings, the most important of which are: There is a statistically significant connotation between the role of the Ministry in building capacities of the feminist institutions in Gaza Strip, There is another statistically significant connotation between the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and the organizational structure, legislations and laws, strategies, empowerment and networking and building capacities in the women’s institutions, There is an impact of a statistical connotation between the Ministry of Women’s Affairs : the organizational structure, empowering and networking and capacity building in the women’s institutions, There are no differences of statistical connotations in the Ministry of Women’s Affairs concerning gender, age, years of service and governorates. There are no statistical connotations between the averages of the responses of the respondents in terms of (gender, scientific qualification and governorates. The study recommend the following: One of the concerns of the Ministry must be making programs related to building capacities of the women’s institutions. The Ministry of Women’s Affairs must be considered the main reference and the essential umbrella of the women’s institutions. The necessity of depending of women’s institutions on their own and not only on the financed projects. The Ministry of Women’s Affairs must work to issue a clear guide about the duties and functions of the women’s institutions where all services to be presented equally and not to be repeated.
