Abstract
The aim of the study was to identify the relationship between intelligence and both exam anxiety and self-esteem among the school students at Al-Rabie Institute for Social Welfare in Gaza Governorate, and to reveal the most widespread misdemeanors among the sampling. It also aimed find out the differences in the averages of intelligence, exam anxiety and self-esteem according to the kind of crime variable. The study was applied to (90) delinquent students, aged from 10 to 18 years. To accomplish the aim of the study, the researcher used the scale of photographic intelligence, exam anxiety, and self-esteem. The findings of the study revealed that the degree of intelligence among delinquent school students in Gaza Governorate was normal, (95.7), and the level of exam anxiety among delinquent school students in Gaza Governorate scored more than (70%) as a hypothetical level, and the level of self-esteem among delinquent school students in Gaza Governorate was less than (70%) as a hypothetical level. The results also showed that there was an inverse correlation between intelligence and exam anxiety of the test among the participants of the study , while there was a direct link between intelligence and their self-esteem. The misdemeanor of theft and burglary was the most widespread misdemeanor among the sampling, with a percentage of (60%). The finding did not show any statistically significant differences between the averages of intelligence and exam anxiety and self-esteem among the delinquent school students in the Gaza governorate, attributed to the variable of the kind of crime.
