Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the effectiveness of a training programme on improving the basic stage teachers' attitudes towards the adapted authentic assessment in Khan Younis Governorate . In order to achieve this aim, the researchers employed the quasi-experimental approach. The study was adopted on a sample of 20 basic stage teachers (male and female) at Usama Najjar School in Khan Younis. The researchers built an attitde scale as a tool to conduct the study in order to get the needed data for the study. The researchers surveyed many related previous studies as they are working in the education field and this helped them in identifying the most important criteria that were used to build the questionnaire. The collected data were analysed and treated statistically using the (SPSS) Programme. The results showed that there are statistical differences at the level of significance (α =0.01) between the rank of basic teachers' attitudes towards the adapted authentic assessment before and after adopting the training programme for the sake of the after impleimentation . The total of positive ranks was bigger than the negative ones. As well, the program didn’t prove its effectiveness on improving the basic stage teachers' attitudes according to Black Earn Rate.
