Abstract
In this paper, I would like to examine the status of women in Saudi Arabia and how patriarchy, double moral standards, tribal mentality and social hypocrisy violate their basic human rights as represented in RajaaAlsanea'sGirls of Riyadh. The researcher also argues that Al sanea'sGirls of Riyadh can be seen as an awakening call for enhancing and improving women's rights in Saudi Arabia and visionary in its scope in the light of the Arab Spring which is raging through the Arab world. Feminist, analytical and textual methodology has been used in this paper.
