Abstract

The study aimed at defining the concept of social cohesion and the values that influence it in order to determine the degree to which the Palestinian university youth will achieve the values of social cohesion And It also aimed to identify the reasons for the presence or absence of those values, reveal the differences in the assessment of the sample to the extent to which the young people achieved the values of social cohesion due to the variables of the study (sex, place of residence, political affiliation) A sample of fourth year students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Al-Aqsa University reached 360 students. The descriptive approach was used as a suitable method for study. The main results were: The degree of the university youth's social cohesion values in general was 3.22 with a relative weight of 64.4%, The majority of the areas of social cohesion are also medium. The study proposed a number of ways to enhance the values of social cohesion among the university youth focused on the role of the university, society and the media .
