Abstract

The study aims at identifying the most important problems Al– Aqsa University students suffer from and the fields in which the university contributed in promoting its students' awareness. moreover the study investigated whether the university role differs in promoting its students' awareness due to majority (science versus humanities) and gender . the was conducted on a sample of (150) male and female students. The researches used a questionnaire to measure the students awareness of their problems and their society's. Using the frequencies, Percentages t-test, the researchers concluded the following: The most common problems among the university students were related to the following fields: counseling, psychological, social, scientific and economic problems. Besides the university did not contribute in promoting its students awareness of the problems researched. These problems and affair were arranged in the following order: awareness of the national tradition, psychological, social, scientific, economic, counseling, personal, and finally political fields
