Abstract
The study investigated the role of the "College of Ability Development" in developing the linguistic communication of its students through providing them with programs and theoretical and practical courses that develop their skills to deal with speech disorders. These courses include linguistic communication, Language acquisition, and infant's stages of linguistic development. The study investigated the effects of these courses in developing students' abilities in discovering speech disorders and learning how to treat them. The study revealed the efficient role of this college in developing the linguistic communication skills of students, and revealed that the students of this college and those of other special education colleges need to study linguistic communication and its importance, and. The study recommended that these courses must be taught in special education colleges. It also emphasized that Language Scientists have to be more concerned with such social issues as speech disorders and its treatment. In addition, they have to monitor infants' linguistic development
