Abstract
الزواج، الواجبات، والفرد دراسة من المنظور النسوي في رواية ثوماس هاردي " عودة المواطن " " The Return of the Native ". تجسد كثير من الشخصيات النسائية في روايات " ثوماس هاردي " نموذج المرأة في العصر الفكتوري: المرأة المطيعة التقليدية من ناحية، والمرأة المتحررة من ناحية أخرى. لم يوضح "ثوماس هاردي" في رواياته كيف يجب أن تكون المرأة، ولكنه أشار إلى الضغوط التي تتعرض لها من قبل المجتمع الإنجليزي؛ لتطبع نفسها مع صورة للمرأة التقليدية. حيث يركز هذا البحث على كشف فكرتي الزواج وواجب المرأة في رواية "ثوماس هاردي" "عودة المواطن" ؛ لمعرفة كيف تعامل مع فكرة العلاقة بين الرجل والمرأة كمفكر ومدافع عن نظرية المساواة بين الجنسين، وهو موضوع مهم يتطلب مزيداً من البحث. ABSTRACT : Many female characters in Thomas Hardy’s novels distinctly demonstrate the Victorian stereotypes of women: the conventional, obedient housewife or the defiant, liberated dreamer. Hardy does not illustrate how women should be, but rather how society forces women to adapt to the accepted perception. The objective of this paper is to expose the themes of marriage and vocation in Thomas Hardy’s The Return of the Native . In fact, Hardy’s overall treatment of men-women relationship within a general feminist or rather thinker’s perspective is a topic demanding much closer attention than it has received.
