Abstract

The goal of this study is to shed the lights on his Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein's vision in disseminating a culture of tolerance and fight terrorism. The study adopted the descriptive approach using the survey methodology and questionnaires to arrive at a better analysis of the vision of his Majesty King Abdullah II in disseminating a culture of tolerance and fighting terrorism. The study was based on the speeches from the throne, Local TV and press interviews, as well as regional and international speeches (a total of 96 speech’s), which were published on the official website of his Majesty King Abdullah II from 1/1/2015 until 1/1/2020. )71) speeches was chosen by comprehensively going through what was published during the previously mentioned time frame regarding the culture of tolerance and fighting terrorism. The study used Qualitative discourse analysis. The study concluded that, terrorism constituted the greatest danger locally, regionally, and internationally. Terrorism, as His Majesty sees it, is an attempt to denigrating the Islamic Religion. His Majesty described the war on terror as a third world war with the use of different approaches and tools, and a holistic long-term approach is required to achieve victory in this war. His Majesty also considers the media in its various platforms, including the internet and the social media play an important role in combating terrorism and disseminating a culture of tolerance. Based on this study's results, the researcher recommends taking his Royal highness vision, as a road-map on how to deal with terrorism and the culture of tolerance locally, regionally, and internationally. The researcher also recommended further studies into His Majesty's vision in various subject.
