Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of television talk shows in promoting freedom Of opinion, a program in the forbidden astronomy on France 24 channel as a model, this Study was based on the descriptive analytical approach, and the content analysis form was Relied on, and the study sample consisted of an intentional sample from all program Episodes The dialogue “On Forbidden Astronomy,” which is broadcast on France 24, During the period between (6/9 / 2019-6 / 3/2020), and the number of those episodes during This time period reached 12 episodes. -The Spss software was used to analyze the data and produce the results. The most important results were as follows: -The largest proportion of the topics of the episodes were social, followed by religious, political and then national issues. -The social issues that were touched upon in the program were topics far from the Arabic customs and traditions. -The percentage of male guests in the "In the forbidden sphere" program was almost equal to that of females. -The largest percentage of guests in "Falk Al-Mamnou" program were human rights activists and media professionals. -That (72%) of the guests in the "Falk Al-Maamoua" program, were supporters of the content of the episodes. The study recommended conducting similar studies on the talk show in the Arabic-speaking foreign channels, because the topic is of great importance and comparing it with the talk show in the Arab channels.
