Abstract

The study aimed to know what are the satiated achieved for university students from online games via YouTube (an applied study on Jordanian university students), also to identify their patterns and habits while exposing them to the content of games in YouTube, and to know the most popular needs during their follow up to online games clips, and the study used theory Uses and gratifications as a theoretical basis. The study relied on the descriptive survey method, which aims to describe the subject to be studied and research in an accurate scientific description through reconnaissance a sample from my universities of Jordan and the Middle East, whose number reached (220) students (110) students for each university in a random sample available. The study reached several results, including: The percentage of those who answered that they watch the content of "online games" in YouTube reached 43.2% of 220 student, and the duration of their exposure for less than an hour amounted to 51.6% and from one to two hours 38.9%, and also that the needs of personal integration were the most needed satisfied with university youth. The study showed that there are statistically significant differences in the responses of students with regard to cognitive and emotional needs and the needs of personal and social integration according to the demographic variable (gender) in favor of males, and also found statistically significant differences with respect to content and process satisfaction also according to the demographic variable (gender) In favor of males.
