Abstract

This study aims at examining the Media coverage for Al- Yarmouk Camp in Al Mayadeen and Al Jazeerah Channels Sites during the Syrian crisis as well as investigating the integrity of the coverage of the two sites concerning the vital events that happened in Al Yarmouk Camp in 2015. The study used the descriptive approach and the content was analyzed using a specific form of content analysis .The reliability of the tool was checked through defining the analysis units and tested by experts . And to check the validity of the tool , the test was repeated on a part of the unit of the study . The population of the study is represented in two sites “ Al-Jazeerah Net “ and “ Al-Mayadeen Net” from 1/4/2015 to 1/10/2015 . The major findings of the study revealed that Al-Jazeerah site concentrates on the human part with a percentage of 52.48% meanwhile Al- Mayadeen site focuses on the military side with a percentage of 39.02%. The study also highlights that Al-Jazeerah net was on the side of the opposed party by 55.93% .On the other hand , Al Mayadeen site was supportive to the Syrian regime with a percentage of 83.33% . These percentages go along with the policies of the channels of each site concerning Syrian issues . ن The study ends up with recommendations such as spotting the human issues by the media to show the inner conflicts in the Arab countries, and not for seeking the sympathy of the audience with one part of the conflict but for the professional and moral values in their coverage of these clashes .Other recommendations can be given by keeping the Arab News sites up to date to make the searching process within it easier.
