Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of administrative empowerment in managing organizational conflict at Al-Aqsa University. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach. The study population consisted of directors of departments, heads of departments and their assistants at AlAqsa University, the study sample reached (120) employees. The study tool was applied on them using Comprehensive survey method, they represented 86% of the study population, and the questionnaire represented a data collection tool. Among the most important findings of the study were: - The total score of the study sample is of the degree to which Al-Aqsa University empowers the heads of departments and departments and their administrative assistants; It obtained a relative weight (69.56%), large extent. - That the total score of the study sample to the degree of Al-Aqsa University's practice of managing organizational conflict in it; It obtained a relative weight (66.62%), medium degree. - There is a positive statistically significant relationship at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) between the total degree of administrative empowerment and management of organizational conflict at Al-Aqsa University. - There is a direct relationship of statistical significance at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) between the dimensions of administrative empowerment (delegating powers, motivating workers, communication and information flow, training, participation in decision-making, work teams) and managing organizational conflict at Al Aqsa University. - There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of the study sample estimates from the categories of academic department head and assistant head of an academic department and head of an administrative department on the one hand and the department manager category on the other hand to the extent that Al-Aqsa University delegates powers to department heads and departments and their assistants. The differences were in favor of the employee category of the department managers. ‌ث Among the most important recommendations of the study were: - Promoting and developing a system of material and moral incentives for workers because of its positive impact on empowering workers. - Establishing a robust and modern information infrastructure; To enable employees who are heads of departments and departments and their assistants to develop their self-growth skills. - Adopting a consultative and participatory leadership model, starting from policy-making and building plans to implementing mechanisms on the ground. - Considering team work as a general strategy to which all departments and departments in the university adhere to. - Disseminating the strategy of delegating powers to all employees, including heads of departments and departments, and their assistants, regardless of their gender, in order to spread benefit.
