Abstract

The study aimed to identify the reality of the use of electronic means in The Ministry of Health in the southern governorates (Gaza Strip).To achieve the objectives of the study, the questionnaire was developed to collect the necessary data, where the descriptive analytical method was used. The study population consisted of the employees working in supervisory positions (head of division, head of department, department manager, director-general, assistant undersecretary, and state secretary) in the Ministry of Health, which are (1478). The study sample reached (265) employees (males and females). The researcher used the stratified random sample. The response rate for the questionnaire was (97.7%). The study reached the following findings:  There is somewhat satisfaction with the legitimacy and legality of using electronic means.  There is somewhat satisfaction with providing the administrative requirements necessary for managing the Ministry of Health using electronic means.  There is somewhat satisfaction by the respondents regarding the obstacles in using the electronic means in managing the Ministry of Health. The main recommendations are as follows:  Providing the necessary resources to implement management by electronic means in the Ministry of health.  Developing the infrastructure for electronic management applications in the Ministry of Health.  Developing security and oversight continuously to ensure and protect the electronic transactions.
