Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the Jordan Broadcasting in raising women's awareness and supporting its various issues that can be summed up in the concept of awareness and motivation, in order to achieve its active participation in the development of the society and to enhance its achievements and contribute to solving the problems and challenges facing it in various fields. The study used the descriptive approach based on the questionnaire tool, which was applied upon a cluster sample of working women in the Greater Amman Municipality consists of (200) women. The analysis revealed a number of results. The major finding of the study are the following : 1‌.The role of the Jordan Radio programs in meeting the different needs of women (cultural, social, health, guidance, legal, entertainment) was found to be at the middle level from the perspective of the working women of the Greater Amman Municipality. س 2 .The quality of media awareness about Jordanian women's issues in Jordanian radio programs is medium-level from the perspective of the employees of the Greater Amman Municipality. 3 -The results of the first hypothesis test showed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of satisfaction of the sample members of the study about Jordanian radio programs of different age groups, their educational qualifications and their rate of listening to Jordan stations. 4 -The results of the second hypothesis showed that there were no significant differences at the level of (0.05) in the attitudes of the sample members towards the extent of the efficiency of the radio programs in motivating women to participate in public life due to the variables (work and educational qualification) The source of the difference was in favor of the listening rate of two to three hours‌‌a day.
