Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of Jordanian Television in the development of volunteer work from the youth point of view of Jordanian Youth Commission. To achieve this goal, the researcher designed a questionnaire and distributed it to (385) of employees from the Commission. The result showed that exposure of young people to the Jordanian TV programs was high on the instrument as a whole and on the whole axis.This result can be explained by the importance of the role of Jordan Television in revealing the importance of volunteering within the community by allocating enough space for its programs, and presenting live and modern models of a group of young people who have succeeded in volunteering, thus motivating young people to engage in volunteering. ع The results showed that the motivation of youth to programs that deal with the development of voluntary work on Jordanian TV from the point of view of young people is high on the tool as a whole and on the entire axis. These results can be explained by the fact that Jordan Television is the official and local media of Jordan, and it enjoys a high level of popularity among Jordanian youth. Its advertisements for volunteering represent great confidence for young people. The Jordanian youth seeks volunteer work in a wide field under the blessing and encouragement of an official media Namely, Jordanian television, and with great humanitarian work, so that it is quick and feasible in the event of crises, disasters, floods, hurricanes, fires and so on. Therefore, Jordan Television is keen to pay attention to them and develop them and highlight their successes in order to serve the local community and increase the development and development. The study concluded with a number of recommendations: to activate the awareness of the importance and sanctity of voluntary work and its positive results for both the volunteers and their society through the media, especially the visual and social media; conduct studies that address the reasons for abstention from voluntary work; activate the role of the official media read and audio and visual culture volunteer work and its importance to contribute to the development of the country socially and economically motivated to push more young people to participate in it.
