Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of Islamic banks in the financing of Jordanian small and medium-sized enterprises, the researcher made a descriptive analytical study. The population of the study consists of all Jordanian Islamic banks, namely: Jordan Islamic Bank and the Islamic International Arab Bank, also the sample consists of all employees of these two banks. The study attained the following results: There is a role for Islamic banks in financing the small and mediumsized enterprises, in addition there is the effectuate of funding formulas used in financing small and medium-sized enterprises, and the existence of a set of constraints faceing by Islamic banks in financing small and medium-sized enterprises. The research ended of some recommendations: 1. Stability of economic situation and political and security is a key factor in the success and performance banks of Islamic banks in particular. Ibex Islamic banks to cope with these conditions. ل 2. Authorities must contribute to the success of Islamic banks because its impact in the compilation of the savings and find a local alternative to financing small and medium-sized enterprises. 3. Banks must be attention to planning and supporting economic feasibility studies for projects funding by participation participate, which requires to transferring from Murabaha and participation. 4. Islamic banks, attention must encourage speculation interest requires banks to provide new methods and new means in the framework of the provisions of the contract or speculative participation, fit the reality in which the bank operates. 5. Formulas accepted and approved for participation and muddarabah that are approved to participate, speculation and clear in real application, away from writing abstracts and vague.
