Abstract

This study has aimed to check up the impact application of corporate governance and competitive advantage of the Jordanian industrial corporations listed an Amman Stock, to achieve the study objective, the researcher dealt with the published financial data of sample random for (21) companies in industrial sector for period 2009 to 2011. In addition, the field study has relied on four hypotheses; SPSS system was utilized in order to analyze the results as well as Standard deviation, the Arithmetic average and simple regression. The level of application of corporate governance is measured for the aspects related to the board of directors that is represented by the number of its meetings for the board of directors, academic qualification for members, level of disclosure about stakeholders ( ratio of depending on supplier) and risk management " current ratio" . for the measurement dependent variable competitive advantage by total sales. ن The statistical tests showed no significant relationships between the number of its meetings for the board of directors , academic qualification for members, level of disclosure about stakeholders ( ratio of depending on supplier) and risk management " current ratio" . After analyzing the data and testing the hypotheses, the main findings were the following results: The study concludes by some recommendations the most important of it is that the ministry of Industry and Trade have to perform a control role on the application of corporate governance on industrial companies, The importance of companies corporate governance principles may be reinforced due to its effect on improving the competitive ability of the companies.
