Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of dividends announcing on shares trading volume of the industrial companies listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher analyze the selected companies financial statements applies the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) to analyze and examine the hypotheses. Many statistical methods to achieve the study objectives have been used such as multi and simple regression. The main results of the study are the followings: � س � 1. There is a significant impact of Dividends Announcing (Declared dividends, cash dividends, Share dividends) on Trading Volume of the Industrial Companies listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange. 2. There is a significant impact of Declared dividendson Trading Volume of the Industrial Companies listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange. 3. There is a significant impact of cash dividends Trading Volume of the Industrial Companies listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange. 4. There is a significant impact of Dividends Announcing Share dividends on Trading Volume of the Industrial Companies listed in Kuwait Stock Exchange. The main recommendations of the study were: 1. Conduct a study on the different sectors such as the banking industry to demonstrate the impact of dividends on the prices of each sector separately. 2. Increase the role of universities in the revitalization of the financial market, and through the establishment of educational courses for Market staff, financial intermediaries and brokers to increase the scope of their awareness of available financial information and non-financial rationalize their investment decisions and improving strongly in the market.
