Abstract

The study aimed to the statement of the impact of net operating cash flows in public shareholding companies in Kuwait on profitability through a test study, and the study population consisted of all companies listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange during the period 2009-2012, which consisted of (201) companies, covering the major economic sectors of the three, namely: financial , industrial, and services sectors. The study sample was taken in a deliberate manner and by between 15-25 % of the study population. The researcher used in data analysis study and test hypothesis methods of descriptive statistics such as: the arithmetic mean, standard deviation and percentages, in addition to find the correlation coefficient between the independent variable and the dependent variable and regression analysis simple and multiple regression analysis to demonstrate the impact of cash flows on the profitability of public shareholding companies in Kuwait. The study results showed that the percentage of coverage of cash refers to the company's ability to generate cash from operating activities to meet the commitments investment and financing. The results also showed no statistically significant differences between the averages of the impact of net operating cash flows in public shareholding companies in Kuwait on the profitability of these companies due to the variables age, gender, educational qualification and experience. The results of the study also showed the results of the study there is no statistically significant impact on cash flows, profitability Kuwaiti public shareholding companies. The study recommended the need to the attention of the public shareholding companies Kuwaiti ability of the company to generate cash from operating activities to meet the commitments investment and financing, as recommended by the study of the importance of training of public shareholding companies on the Kuwaiti role of cash flows and their importance in determining the profitability of corporations and their impact on the performance of these companies
