Abstract
كشفت في هذه الدراسة عن كثير من التساؤلات التي أثارها هذا العمل, وحاولت الإجابة عليها ، و سوق تفسيرات من وجهة نظر الباحث على الأقل، وكشفت عن الأفكار الكلية والجزئية في القصة، ومدى قرب الكاتب من زمان ومكان وشخصيات القصة. كما تناولت الاتجاهات الفنية في القصة كـ : الاتجاه الواقعي ، والرومانتيكى ، والرمزى ، وكيف استطاع الكاتب أن يوفق بينها، وأوضحت أن هذا العمل من أروع وأفضل الأعمال القصصية الفلسطينية في تلك المرحلة التي كتب فيها، وأن غسان كنفاني كان صاحب نبوءة ، لم تمهله يد القدر والغدر الصهيوني من رؤية تحققها. ABSTRACT Ghassan Kanafain’s Men in the Sun: A critical study. This study tries to tackle the most important issues found in the story giving my own answers and interpretations accordingly. I tend to highlight the extent of the author’s affinity to the time, setting and characters of the story. This research shows the aesthetic dimensions in the story like realistic, romantic and symbolic trends and how the author combines them successfully. Finally, one tends to conclude that Kanafani’s Men in the Sun is one of the best Palestinian short stories written at that period and Ghassan Kanafani has a vision which in not fulfilled due to his sudden murder by Israelis.
