Abstract

The study was designed to examine the impact of Outsourcing on the Operational Performance of Industrial Companies in Amman- Jordan: The Mediating Impact of Organizational Structure and Culture. The study sample included all, owners, General Managers, HR managers, heads of the industrial companies in Amman- Jordan., whom were chosen with total of (400) individuals. A specifically designed questionnaire was used as a key tool for collecting information and (250) responses were received and tested. The results of the hypotheses test using Structural Equation Modelling also showed that the model is fit to the environment of industrial companies in Jordan. Testing of Path Analysis shows that there is a direct significant impact of outsourcing on the operational performance in the industrial companies in Jordan. Also, there is a direct significant impact of outsourcing on the organizational structure. There is a direct significant impact of outsourcing on the organizational culture. There is a direct significant impact of organizational structure on the operational performance in the industrial companies in Jordan. There is a direct significant impact of organizational culture on the operational performance in the industrial companies in Jordan. The results of testing mediation indicated that organizational structure partially mediates the impact of outsourcing on operational performance. Additionally, organizational culture partially mediates the impact of outsourcing on operational performance. Eventually, the research recommends that if industrial companies want to take advantage of external outsourcing to raise levels of performance, they should include the external outsourcing in their organizational structure and culture.
