Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of the application of the principles of the military leadership of the Al-Qassam Brigades during the 2014 war, and to shed light on the obstacles the military leadership of the Qassam Brigades faced when applying these principles during the 2014 war, and to indicate the mechanisms needed to apply these ethics of war, and whether the differences of application of these ethics in the military leadership of Al-Qassam Brigades is due to factors such as; the leadership level, years of service, age and educational qualification. The researcher used the Descriptive-Analytic Approach, where the data was collected through two tools; questionnaire and interviews. The study sample included 132 Al-Qassam leaders including (Platoon leader, Company Commander, Battalion Commander, Brigade commander) this research was conducted throughout 2014, and taken place in the Gaza Strip. The data was analysed using the (Statistical Package for Social Sciences SPSS). The most important results from the study are as follows: 1- The mean result of the reality of applying war ethics from the AlQassam Brigades during the 2014 war was 3.934, whereas the relative weight was 78.674, which is very high. 2- There was no significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) in the average estimates of the reality of the applying war ethics from the military leadership of the Al-Qassam Brigades during the war of 2014 due to the different variables: (leadership level, years of service, age, educational qualification) The researcher proposed a few recommendations, these include: 1. The need to fit the combat capability with the goals and objectives. The goals and objectives must also be clear, and can achievable. 2- The presence of leaders with the Mujahedeen (fighters) in the field. 3- Choose discerning and experienced combat leaders, and work to improve the efficiency of the Mujahedeen.
