Abstract

Aim of the study: The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of training programs which externally funded in Radiology Departments at hospitals in the Gaza Strip Ministry of Health, as well as to examine the statistical differences between the effectiveness and demographic variables from the perspective of workers (managers and trainees) in the Radiology Departments. Methodology: Descriptive analytical design was used in the study. The study population was (114) consisted of workers of Radiology Departments at governmental hospitals of the Gaza Strip who receive training which includes ( Managers and trainees from Doctors, Technicians , Radiology Imaging, and Physicists). The response rate was (93.9%),The researcher used self-report structure questionnaire to collect data. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze data. Results: The results showed that there are differences between managers and trainees perspective about the effectiveness of training programs, as well as in the order of domains, in general the weighted mean of the effectiveness of training programs in radiology from the point of managers was (65.59%(, while the weighted mean for trainees was (60.80%). The results also showed that the Domain of "to take advantage of the training programs" is the strongest among the domains with weighted mean )80.0%) as managers views and (74.71%( of trainees views, The point of views of managers that the weakest domain was "evaluation of training programs with weighted mean of (60.0%( while trainees said the determent of training needs with weighted mean (56.06%). The results showed that there are statistical differences between effectiveness of training programs which externally funded in Radiology Departments at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, Ministry of Health with education, the differences was for the managers who had bachelor degree and less, , while there are statistical differences between effectiveness of training programs which externally funded and place of living for trainees the differences was for Gaza City Recommendations: The study recommended working on clear and measurable goals for training programs, developing a yearly and comprehensive plan taking into consideration the sharing of all who interested in training. This plan based on actually needs of training for employees and their positions, and basis on the different means of training including compatible content, participating in evaluation the effectiveness of training programs, and varied assessment methods.
