Abstract
This study aims at identifying level of administrative creativity of principals of secondary schools in Gaza governorates and its relationship to citizenship organizational behavior of teachers. This is in addition to identify the impact of the variables (gender, workplace, years of service, major, educational qualification) on teachers’ estimates of the level of administrative creativity of principals. The study also aims at identifying the impact of the variables (gender, educational qualification, years of service, and the workplace) on principals ’ estimates of the degree of availability of citizenship organizational behavior of teachers. The study has a number of objectives including the following: 1. To determine the degree of availability of creative leadership of the secondary school principals in Gaza Governorates from the teachers' point of view. 2. To identify the degree of availability of organizational citizenship behavior of teachers in secondary schools in Gaza governorates from the viewpoint of the principals. 3. To identify the availability of the correlative statistically significant relationship at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) between the degree of availability of creative leadership and citizenship organizational behavior of teachers. 4. To identify the statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the sample for the degree of availability of creative leadership for principals that are attributed to the variables (gender –years of service – educational qualifications). 5. To identify the statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the sample for the degree of availability of organizational citizenship behavior of teachers in secondary schools in Gaza governorates that are attributed to the variables (gender – years of service – educational qualifications). ح 6. To suggest a number of ways for improving the creative leadership of principals and improving the citizenship organizational behavior of teachers. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach to conduct this study and identify the relationship. The study population consisted of all principals and teachers of secondary schools in Gaza governorates during the scholastic year 2014/2015 whose number is (145) principals and (4857) teachers. The tool of the study was distributed to all secondary schools of Gaza governorates. The random sample of the study consisted of 52 principals with a percentage of 35.9% of the original population selected in accordance with the study variables (gender, workplace, years of service, major, educational qualification). The sample also included 433 secondary school teachers which represent 8.91% of the original population selected in accordance with the study variables (gender, workplace, years of service, major, educational qualification). The study findings show that there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of teachers' for the degree of availability of creative leadership at the secondary school principals in Gaza Governorates attributable to the variables (gender, educational qualification, years of service, workplace, and major). There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of teachers for the degree of availability of citizenship organizational behavior of teachers in secondary schools in Gaza Governorates attributable to the variables (gender, educational qualification, years of service, workplace, and major). There is a positive direct correlative relationship that is statistically significant between the mean scores of teachers' degrees of availability of creative leadership of principals and the mean scores of organizational citizenship behavior of teacher. The study recommends increasing the awareness of teachers with the citizenship organizational behavior and reinforcing it in their schools continuously. It is also necessary to delegate powers to the principals of schools to improve the morale of their teachers and share them in decision making. It is also necessary to consider the citizenship organizational behavior as an organizational value and one of the important criteria to evaluate the annual performance of teachers.
