Abstract

The study aimed to determine the degree of availability The Entrepreneurial Characteristics of primary Schools' Principals in Gaza Governorate and their Relationship to Psychological Capital among Teachers. The researcher adopted the descriptive- analytical approach in this study. The study sample consisted of (360) representing (5.7%) of the study population. The sample was selected by the stratified random method according to Gender variable. The electronic questionnaire had been the main data collection tool. The study reached the following results: 1. The total score for the availability of entrepreneurial characteristics of the basic schools principals in Gaza governorates from the teachers' study sample estimation has obtained a high degree of relative weight with (74.20%). 2. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of teachers' estimates of the degree of availability of the entrepreneurial characteristics of the basic schools principals in Gaza governorates due to the gender and educational qualification variables. That is in favor for the female teachers with bachelor degree. While there were no differences due to the variable of academic specialization. 3. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of teachers ’estimations of the degree of availability of entrepreneurial characteristics among principals of primary schools due to the variable seniority years , between the years of their service 5- less than 10 years and the years of their service 10 years and more. The differences were for the benefit of those who have served 10 years or more. 4. The total score for availability of psychological capital for primary school teachers in the governorates of Gaza has obtained a relative weight (77.46%), that is, a high degree. 5. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of teachers’ estimations of the degree of their psychological capital attributable to the gender variable. The differences were in favor of female teachers. On the other hand, there are no differences attributable to academic specialization nor educational qualification variables. 6. There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of teachers' assessments ج of the degree of availability of “self-efficacy, optimism, and flexibility” and the availability of psychological capital as a whole between among (seniority years of service 5, less than 10 years, and 10 years or more. The differences were for the benefit of those who have served 10 years or more. 7. There is a statistically significant positive relationship at the level of significance (0.01) between the averages of the estimate of the study sample to the degree of availability of the entrepreneurial characteristics with their dimensions and their overall score, and the mean of their estimation of the degree of psychological capital of teachers with its dimensions and the overall score. The study recommended the following: 1. The Ministry should allocate a percentage of its budget to support the owners of new creative initiatives in schools, including school administration, learners and students. 2. The Ministry of Education should hold courses and workshops to develop human capital by hosting specialists in human development. 3. School administrations should host elite teachers with successful experiences for discussion and interview to guide students and present a model.
