Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of stock related issues on the trading volumes and the detection of volume, dividends, and liquidity of the stock market and to identify Amman Stock Exchange index during the study period. (2012-2016) The study sample is composed of all Jordanian banks listed its shares on the Amman Stock Exchange of Population until the end of March in 2016 (15) Banks. To achieve its objective, the study utilizes a multiple regression model to measure the effect of trading volume on the stock index for the period 2012-2016. In the light of the results of the estimation and analysis, it reached the following: The study showed that there was a statistically significant effect at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) for the trading volumes on the Amman Stock Exchange index in the banking sector, which is estimated at (6.3%). Showed an effect of dividends on the Amman Stock Exchange index is estimated at (84.2%). It also indicate that the liquidity of the stock market on Amman Stock Exchange index in the banking sector is estimated at (85.2%) The researcher recommends that Jordan Central Bank maintain the flow of cash and liquidity in ASE, as well as recommend further studies to determine the factors affecting Index of Amman Stock Exchange using variables And other sectors.
