Abstract

This study aims at identifying the impact of professional ethics on the occupational performance of the NGO's employees in the Gaza Strip and providing some recommendations to NGO's to increase their awareness pertaining to the relationship between the professional ethics and the occupational performance. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher adopted a descriptive analytic methodology. The study sample consists of (263) employees of social NGO's in Gaza strip, who were randomly selected. The researcher designed a questionnaire as a tool for data collection. and data was analyzed using SPSS. The study concluded a number of findings the most important of which are: 1. The level of NGOs' employees' commitment to professional ethics is 83.34%. 2. The level of NGO's employees' occupational performance is 79.93%. 3. There is a statically significant positive relation between the professional ethics and the occupational performance of NGO's employees in the Gaza Strip 4. The level of the occupational performance is directly influenced by the variables (integrity, transparency, respect, good treatment and team work) Respectively. 5. There are no differences in the responses of the sample members regarding the professional ethics and the occupational performance related to demographic variables except for one variable which is (place of work) which proved the existence of difference in favor of Rafah area in both the professional ethics and the occupational performance. Recommendations of the Study 1. Forming a professional control board to follow up the commitment of employees to professional ethics and give them powers to help in organizing the control procedures. 2. Rewarding the employees on their good performance materially or Morally. 3. Dealing with all employees with the same standards of equality and justice. 4. Helping employees in developing their occupational performance and practical capacities. 5. Encouraging employees to provide ideas and suggestions that contribute to the development of occupational performance.
