Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of strategic leadership in raising the moral of the employees of the security service in the Gaza Strip through the four skills of strategic leadership mental, humanitarian, technical, subjectivity. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and the study population of all employees in supervisory positions of function "Manager of the Department" for those working in the security services (Police, security and protection, internal security) in the provinces of Gaza, and the number (1135) affiliate, and for this purpose it has been stratified random sample distribution number (287) was recovery (271) questionnaire. The study showed the following results: - The level of availability of strategic leadership skills of the leaders of the security services in the Gaza Strip was a relative weight (68.887). - The level of morale of the employees of the security services in the Gaza Strip was relative weight (71.262). - Show a direct connection between positive availability of strategic leadership skills of the leaders of the security services and the level of morale for the employees of the security services in the Gaza Strip. - Non-existence statistically significant differences at the level of significance ( 0.05 ≥ α ) In the averages of the respondents responses about the level of availability of strategic leadership skills of the leaders of the security services and the level of morale of the employees of the security services in the Gaza Strip due to the variables: (educational qualification, military rank, job title, name of the device, the number of years of service). - The existence of differences in the averages of the respondents responses about the level of availability of strategic leadership skills among security chiefs In the Gaza Strip due to the variable military rank, for the rank of major or higher. - The existence of differences in the averages of the respondents responses about the level of morale of the employees of the security services in the Gaza Strip due to the variable Job Title, for the manager of department. The study recommended a number of recommendations including: - Work to enhance the level of strategic leadership skills of the leaders of the security services in the Gaza Strip. - Establish clear and objective grounds for choosing leaders according to professional standards, contributing to raise the morale of workers. - The adoption of a clear system of incentives and rewards to keep the morale of workers in the ministry.
