Abstract
There has been an increasing interest in intellectual capital for its effective role in maintaining the existence of organizations and achieving their development, especially given the high level of overlap and complexity in these organizations. Intellectual capital becomes one of the most important factors that help business and service organizations in facing challenges and achieving success. The study aimed to assess the reality of the intellectual capital and health crisis management at Ministry Of Health in Gaza strip. The study used the descriptive, analytical method and data were collected from Ministry of Health employees at the high level positions. A total number of 274 employees participated in the study through a stratified random sample. The researcher applied special designed questionnaire to collect data from February to April 2015 to identify the current reality of the intellectual capital in the studied population The study found that the average of the intellectual capital at Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip with its three component ( Human capital , organization capital and relational capital ) was in the good range 3.11 ( 62.2%). the highest rank was for human capital with average 2.23 ( 64.6%). The second rank was for organizational capital with average 3.03 ( 60.6%). The third rank was for relational capital with average 3.01 (60.2%).The total degree of crisis management got the average 3.08 ( 61.8%) in middle range. There is a statistical significant relationship at point ( 0.05) between the intellectual capital and crises management that total degree of intellectual capital VS the total degree of crises management was 0.732. This is ensure that there is a correlation relationship between the intellectual capital and crisis management. There is no statistically significant relationship of the total degree of the intellectual capital at the variables (sex and education Level) but there is statistically significant relationship at the point ( 0.05) at the variables ( age , years of experience and job title). There is no statistically significant relationship of the total degree of crisis management at the variable ( sex , educational level and years of experience) but there is statistical significant relationship at the point ( 0.05) at the variables ( age and job title) Recommendation: 1. Enhancing job satisfaction of the human power at the MOH by showing more interests in their opinions suggestions and abilities. 2. Showing more interest in conducting training courses by specialists and experts in order to develop individuals’ knowledge and enable them to solve work problems. This interest should not be limited to activities and courses held by the Ministry.
