Abstract

This study discussed the political experience of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in light of the domestic, regional and international variables in the period between (2006 – 2014). This study aimed to identify the domestic, regional and international challenges that faced the government led by Hamas, and its impact on the Palestinian stance. The study has illustrated the size of the pressures and obstacles faced by Hamas during its political experience, which were designed to make it fail and dislodge from the political scene, despite of Hamas's landslide victory in the elections 2006. Also, the study highlighted the limitations and the nature of regional and international relations of Hamas under the regional and international changes .Also, the impact of its political stance on the nature of its international relations. The study touched the effect of the intra-Palestinian split on Hamas and the Palestinian society. The study has evaluated the political experience of Hamas based on its achievements and failures. The study has used the descriptive analytical approach in addition to the historical approach because this curriculum is appropriate for the current study. The study's conclusion is that Hamas political experience was not natural ,and it can't be measured as perfect political experience because of the Israeli siege. The Israeli occupation opposed limitations , obstacles , constraints, and sanctions on Hamas. Also, domestic , regional and international challenges stressed on Hamas during its political rule. however , Hamas was successful politically and security. The study also concluded that Hamas was able to create and develop a network of international relations, in spite of attacking the international, Zionist lobby, and some local Arab regimes against Hamas. و The study provided a set of recommendations for Hamas and for , local, regional and international policymakers. This study recommended the international community to respect the democratic choice of the Palestinian people and make way for the Islamic movements in order to participate in the political process ,and not to put obstacles toward them. Also, not to intervene in countries affairs . This study also recommended the international community not to failing Hamas or the other Islamic movements ,Hamas has required from the international society to give her the opportunity to implement the reforms and not to make obstacles against its political project.
