Abstract
The study aims at recognizing the eminent leadership personality traits (mental cognitive, affective emotional, social, and physical) of general managers in Palestinian ministries at Gaza Strip, and availability degree of these traits for them. Also it aims to identify the extent of difference degree in availability by the different study variables: sex, qualification, experience years. The researcher has used descriptive methodology, in order to achieve the goals of the study. Therefore, he has designed questionnaire to determine the availability of leadership personality traits of general managers in Palestinian ministries at Gaza Strip. The sample of the study consists of (268) managers. The findings of study had concluded that the average of availability of the leadership personality traits for General Managers in Palestinian Ministries is (79.21%). In general, the most available and eminent leadership personality traits are the social traits at the average of (80.87%), and the least traits are the mental cognitive traits at the average of (77.04%). The physical traits come at the second grade at the average of (80.22%), while the affective emotional traits come at the third grade at the average of (79.41%). The most eminent social leadership personality traits are honesty, validity, loyalty, Integrity, however the least eminent traits are authority delegation, social Intelligence, the activity of human relationship. The study also concludes that the most eminent physical leadership personality traits are elegance and good-looking, while the ability of using body language is the least distinguished. The most distinguished affective emotional leadership personality traits are self confidence, assuming responsibility, Discipline, affiliation, but affective participation is the least eminent trait. Ambition, Intelligence, and experience are the most eminent in mental cognitive leadership personality traits, however innovation, consultation, expectation, self Initiative are the least distinguished ones. Finally, the study found a set of recommendations that would enhance leadership Personality traits in Palestinian ministries at Gaza Strip.
