Abstract

Leadership skills and student activities are considered very important fields for humanity in general، and leadership skills has a particular importance. The nature of the researcher field of work makes him in a direct contact with the student councils. A student council is a cooperative body represents the students' unity، and it's the general body that is formed from all student staffs. It reflects the bound unity between these staffs according to the authority standard of each staff or committee. This leads to more organization and improvement to the student activities. The most important results of the study are as follow،  The leadership skills of the members of the student councils are of varied levels، according to the following order Humanitarian skills (72.2%)، social work skills (71.5%)، technical skills (70.5%)، planning skills (69.2%)، problem solving problems (69.2%) the total is (74.3%).  The total degree of the satisfaction with the activities of the student councils is 74.3%.  There is a positive correlation between leadership skills and student activities، and all fields. The following are the most important recommendations،  At the level of leadership skills  Student councils are necessary for the progress of campus life in the Palestinian universities  The importance of raising the level of the members of student councils in all fields، focusing on planning and problem solving fields.  The members of student councils are urged to attend at least 2 training courses every semester.  The elections should follow the proportional representation system rather than the electoral listing system.  The elections of student councils should be held in the same time across the country.  At the level of student activities  There should be variety and innovation in choosing the student activities.  The operational، strategic and self-Planned preparation is very necessary. ض  Student activities should address the students' real problems and needs  Increase the cooperation and coordination between the members of the student councils across the country.  The members of student councils should establish continuous communication with the students.  The activities should improve the personal and skill aspects of the students.
