Abstract

This study aimed to identify the relationship between leadership effectivenss and emotional intelligence of leaders of civil society organizations working in youth field in Gaza strip as perceived by employees of these organizations. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach for the study where (223) of civil society organizations employees were randomly selected to fill two questionnaires the first was used to measure the level of Leadership effectivenss , the second was used to measure the level of emotional intelligence, the SPSS software package was utilized for data analysis. The main findings of the study were the following:  Employees of civil society organisations perceived that the level of leadership effectivenss of their civil society organisations leaders is high. Leadership effectivenss recorded a mean equals to (4.020) with mean weighted (80.404%).  Employees of civil society organisations perceived that level of emotional intelligence of their civil society organisations leaders is also high. Emotional intelligence recorded a mean equals to (3.947) with mean weighted (78.935%).  The study also found that a significant positive relationship exists, between respondents perception to level of leadership effectivenss and level of emotional intelligence of leaders of civil society organisations working in the youth and sport field in Gaza Strip. In light of the results, the researcher recommends the following:  Pay attention to the selection and choice of civil society organisations leaders on bass of effectiveness , competence and high emotional intelligence.  The need for the leaders of civil society to continue their studies to get advanced scientific qualifications which enable them to improve their administrative and humanitarian performance.  Accommodate multiple emotional responses of employees in civil society organisations positively and with self control to ensure the accomplished of work inside the organisation.
