Abstract
This study aims at examining the impact of the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution on the future of Camp David treaty signed between Egypt and Israel in 1978 under the auspices of the United States of America in light of regional changes such as popular uprisings and revolutions which have toppled four regimes till now. This study has tackled the nature of the Israeli and Egyptian relations after the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution and its impact on Israel politically, militarily and economically which has drastically transformed the nature of the Egyptian regime besides to its effect on the Arab Israeli conflict where the Palestinian cause is prominently situated. It also sheds light on the Israeli stance towards the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution. The researcher uses the analytic descriptive methodology besides to the historical approach to trace the historical roots of the Egyptian and Israeli relations. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher has used interviews as a research tool where he conducted interviews with Egyptian scholars, experts, political leaders, analysts, and researchers to explore the nature of the Egyptian and Israeli relations and the future of Camp David treaty after the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution. The study concluded the following results: After the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution, Israel has lost its most important strategic ally in the region after the downfall of Hosni Mubarak’s regime which has ensured the security of Israel for more than thirty years. The nature of the Egyptian and Israeli relations has drastically been affected after the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution which left its dark shadows on Camp David treaty which represents the solid basis of the relations between the two respective countries. For the first time after the 25th of January Egyptian Revolution, Camp David treaty has been subject for discussion and endless proposals of revision and even cancellation and Egypt har restored its pioneering position in the Arab world far away from the Israeli dictation. The study has come out with certain recommendations: Asking the Egyptian government to revisit, examine , reconsider, and discuss the articles of Camp David treaty by political parties and national powers in an attempt to cancel it since it has tremendously caused harm to the interests of Egyptian and Palestinian people.
