Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of performance efficiency and its relationship to the patterns of leadership of the administrative leaders in the licensing authority in Gaza, through analyzing the prevailing leadership style and its impact on the performance of the staff of the licensing authority. The researcher used descriptive analytical methodology, and a questionnaire tool was used. A comprehensive investigating was used to cover the license authority employees (Administrative, executive and supervisory levels). The study population was (70) employees, and the researcher distributed (70) questionnaire and recovered (69 ) and used the SPSS statistical analysis to analyze the questionnaire. The study concluded that the democratic leadership style is prevalent in the licensing authority. The study also showed a positive correlation with statistical significance between the scores of the workers in a democratic style and grades in performance efficiency. The study also showed no statistically significant differences in the level of job performance efficiency and its relationship to the styles of leadership in the licensing authority attributed to the following variables: job title, job type, qualification, years of experience. The most important recommendations include the following :- 1. To continue practicing the existing leadership style and to promote the concepts of leadership in all the departments of the Ministry . 2. To balance between the Democratic and missy leadership style, by using the situational style. 3. To benefit from the outputs of the system of motivations and upgrades as a basis for the development and management development . 4. To benefit from the presence of performance standards at the level of the institution and the individuals and study the possibility of applying the European Model of Performance.
