Abstract
يتناول هذا البحث الدور الإعلامي للشاعر المفلق، الفارس المغوار، كعب بن معدان الأشقري من شعراء عمان، عاش في العصر الأموي، وعاصر أحداثاً تاريخية مهمّة، وأدّى دوراً إعلامياً ناجحاً، فهو واحد من الشواهد التاريخية في هذه الحقبة، فقد وظّف شعره لتوثيق المواقف المختلفة بخاصة البطولية التي وقف عندها عن كثب حين لازم الأحداث ملازمة الموثّق التاريخي وسايرها بسيفه ولسانه، مما أضفى على شعره حيويّة وحركيّة، فقد رافق المهلّب بن أبي صفرة وبنيه في فتوحاتهم في خراسان، وسجّل ما أبصرته عيناه، وأحسّ به قلبه تسجيلاً دقيقاً أميناً. ومن نافلة القول إن تعصبه لقومه الأزد أثّر في هذا الدور، فقد أحسن صنعاً حين أظهر قدرات ممدوحيه القيادية والسياسية والعسكرية والخُلقية، وصولاً إلى المطالبة بحقوق قومه، الذين يستحقون لأفعالهم المجيدة وإنجازاتهم العظيمة أعلى الدّرجات ولكن للأسف الشّديد تحوّل عنهم تحوّلاً خطيراً– وإن كان مؤقتاً– لانفعاله الشديد بانتصارات قتيبة بن مسلم، وحسن قيادته، فقد سحرته هذه الانتصارات، مما دفعه إلى النيل منهم، فأثّر ذلك سلباً في دوره الإعلامي وعلى مكانته وسمعته، فكانت النهاية مأساوية. وكان هجاؤه قبلياً سياسياً، حقق من خلاله أهدافاً لقبيلته التي تعصب لها، وأحبها، ودافع عن حقوقها.
