Abstract

This paper aims to examine the patterns of the masque in contemporary Palestinian poetry through a critical approach that investigates the poetic production of more than seventeen Palestinian poets, through individual poetic works, or the oeuvre where possible and that explores the technique of the masque as one manifestation of modernism in the contemporary Palestinian poetry. Employing descriptive analysis, the research identifies three patterns of the masque which are a) the total pattern; b) the partial pattern; c) the compound pattern. Through these patterns of the masque, poets tried to depict the depth and originality of their artistic experience and to invest the symbolic energy residing in the collective consciousness of the masked historical figures invoked in the poems in order to express the contemporary Palestinian poet’s experience that cuts across with human pain in history. يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة أنماط القناع في الشعر الفلسطيني المعاصر، من خلال مقاربة نقدية، استلزمت أن يقوم الباحث بالاطلاع على النتاجات الشعرية لمجموعة من الشعراء الفلسطينيين من خلال دواوينهم الشعرية، يرصد من خلالها حضور تقنية القناع كواحدة من تجليات الحداثة في الشعر الفلسطيني المعاصر. وباستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي يكشف البحث عن الأنماط القناعية التي تجلت في قصائد الشعراء الفلسطينيين، والتي تمثلت في: القناع الجزئي، والكلي، والمركب. تلك الأنماط التي حاول الشعراء من خلال أن يصوروا عمق تجربتهم الفنية، وأصالتها، واستثمار الطاقة الرمزية القارة في الوعي الجمعي للشخصيات التاريخية المتقنع بها، في التعبير عن تجربة الشاعر الفلسطيني المعاصر التي تتقاطع مع رحلة الألم الإنساني عبر التاريخ
