Abstract
The study aimed to identify the impact of job security on enhancing job involvement at Al-Aqsa University. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method, and the questionnaire as a tool for data collection, and the study population consisted of all the administrative workers in the four branches of the university, and their number was (357) male and female employees, and it was distributed to (210) individuals of the community using the stratified random sample according to the type of job. The recovered and suitable questionnaires for statistical analysis reached (195) with a percentage of (92.86%) of the total distributed questionnaires. The study reached several results, the most important of which were: The degree of approval of job security is medium with a relative weight (64.8%), and the level of job involvement came with a high degree of approval, with a relative weight reached (71.3%), and the results also showed a relationship between job security in its four dimensions. (Social dimension, psychological dimension, work relations, policies and regulations) and job involvement, and it was found that there is a positive impact of job security dimensions (labor relations, policies and regulations dimension) on job involvement, while there is no impact of (social dimension, psychological dimension), as The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the respondents' responses about the study variables (job security, job involvement) due to the following variables (gender, age group, educational qualification, years of service, type of job). The study concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which are: Work to reward creative and distinguished employees financially and morally, support their creativity and accept their ideas and opinions related to work. as well as work to form a specialized committee to study the conditions of university employees on the internal contract clause, and communicate seriously with the ministry of education and higher education and the general personnel council, to work on their confirmation in the governmental job, in addition to the need to focus by the university administration on the concept of job involvement and its application in a scientific way, and periodically communicate with employees to know their needs and desires and work to meet them, and work to promote social justice among employees and contribute to achieving their personal goals, to achieve the principle of putting the interest of work ahead of their interests Personality, as well as the need to create a supportive and inspiring work environment that provides employees with everything they need to complete the work entrusted to them with love, dedication and without boredom.
